Columbia Slough

The Columbia Slough is a 19-mile long water system of lakes, channels, and wetlands and provides drainage to approximately 40,000 acres of land.

Green River

The Green River flows from its headwaters in the Cascade Mountain foothills through the King County, Washington communities of Auburn, Kent, and Tukwila before discharging into the Duwamish River. The Duwamish River flows through industrialized sections of Seattle before discharging into Elliot Bay.

The Willamette river basin model was originally divided into several reaches. Individual models were developed for each reach.

Fairview/Interlachen Community

The Friends of Blue and Fairview Lake through the Environmental Protection Agency Technical Assistance Grant program have contracted with PSU to provide an independent review of the groundwater contamination problem at the Boeing-Cascade site in East Multnomah County, OR.

Lake Roosevelt

Located in northeastern Washington State, Lake Roosevelt was formed through the impoundment of the Columbia River behind Grand Coulee Dam (RM 597). Lake Roosevelt has a total storage of 9.5 million acre-feet and is roughly 140 miles long. Full pool does not extend entirely to the Canadian border (RM 745). The lake has some 600 miles of shoreline and a surface area of 82,000 acres..

Waldo Lake is located approximately 93 km southeast of Eugene, OR. near McCredie Springs and Oakridge, OR. The lake lies in the central Oregon Cascade Mountains.

Lake Whatcom

Lake Whatcom is a large natural lake located in Washington, next to the city of Bellingham. Lake Whatcom is approximately 10 miles long and has a surface area of approximately 5000 acres and a maximum depth of over 100 meters.

The Tolt Reservoir is located in the western foothills of the Cascades in north central King County, WA. The South Fork supplies around 30% of the drinking water for the 1.3 million people in the Seattle area.
