Visiting the CEE Department

The CEE Department is in room 200 of the Engineering Building at 1930 SW Fourth Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201 map. A campus map is also helpful when visiting campus.

Learn more about scheduling a visit to campus or about living in Portland at these PSU pages. Another great resource to make your visit enjoyable is the Portland Oregon Visitor's Association. The University owns and operates a hotel - University Place - that has special rates for PSU visitors.

By public transportation - TriMet: Portland's public transportation is excellent. Parking is limited in the downtown area, so arriving by transit is perhaps the easiest approach. Use TriMet's trip planner to plan your route.
By bicycle: Riding your bike is an easy way to get to campus. There are plenty of bike racks, and the campus is bike friendly. See the City of Portland's bike page for more information. If your trip is a longer distance, note that all TriMet buses, MAX, and the Portland Streetcar are equipped to accommodate bicycles.
By private car: Parking is limited in the downtown and all on-street parking is metered. There is a parking structure with hourly rates directly underground the Engineering Building which has an entrance off of SW Fourth Ave. The elevators from the parking structure are at the north end. Take the elevators to the lobby level, walk out the front doors and the Engineering Building is a orange-brick building to your left. There also other structures on campus - see the link to PSU's transportation and parking services for guests.
By air: The MAX Red Line light rail runs every fifteen minutes from the Portland International Airport to downtown. When you arrive at Portland International Airport you can walk from the baggage claim area to the light rail station (less than 500 feet) and take MAX to the the Pioneer Square Station, then transfer to a bus to the PSU campus. Taxi rides to PSU are about $30-$35 dollars.
By train: Portland Union Station is served by three scheduled Amtrak intercity passenger trains. Its a short bus ride down the transit mall to PSU Campus.
